Samsotech’s 15th anniversary

Last week, we, at Samsotech, celebrated a milestone. Our company completed 15 successful years!

We celebrated the day by inviting our UAE based customers in the morning for a networking and educational conference called Samsotech CONNECT. In the evening, we hosted our employees and their families, for a music and dance performance. Both events were held at the iconic Jumeriah Emirates Tower, which we are proud to say is also a treasured customer of ours!

In the past, at every anniversary, we celebrated our employees and their families for their hard work and unconditional support. However, this time, we felt it would be important to also invite our customers and thank them for their trust in our services. This initial interest in thanking our customers culminated in hosting Samsotech CONNECT, an educational and networking conference. The morning started off with a welcome address by Mr. Jayant Deshpande, President, Samsotech Group of Companies, wherein he shared with the group, two important learnings from his illustrious career building Samsotech,

Both stories stuck in my mind, as I, the MC of the conference, introduced the theme of our conference- Samsotech Connect. We named our 15th anniversary, ‘Connect’ to signify a connection between the present and the future. And the need for Samsoknights (what we affectionately call all Samsotech employees), to anticipate the needs of our customer, even before they themselves do. This is how we can build products our customers love, and lead from the front!

We wanted the conference to provide our customers with a platform where they could share their ideas. So, we invited some of our customers to become guest speakers and panelists for the event. We had Mr. Shady Elashi from DAMAC properties, Alejandro Vidales from Atlantis the Palm, Will Douglas from Premier Inn ME and Prashant Dutta from the Jumeirah Group, provide fantastic insight on what guests in the hospitality industry can and should expect in the future. Contactless payments, cloud computing benefits and robotic process automation were just some of the topics discussed that morning.

We also had Mr. Edwin Sunny, Sales Manager, EMEA, Samsotech Group of Companies, unveil our new line of products, which includes our brand new all in one kiosk- for hotel check in and check outs that can accept payments, print receipts, issue hotel room keys and more! All packaged in a convenient and user-friendly experience. He also shared information on some of our other products in the healthcare and restaurant industry! The afternoon concluded with an engaging panel discussion featuring Mr. Jayant Deshpande, Anil Ramchandran from Emaar Hospitality, Moamen Abdelwahed from Habtoor hospitality and Tamer Hassan from Intercontinental RAK. The panel was moderated by Mr. Pablo Velasco, our Regional Sales Manager, Europe and the Americas. The panel discussed various new trends from housekeeping and restaurant POS to cost saving strategies that the hospitality industry is currently considering.

After concluding the panel, and listening to the vote of thanks by Ms. Vandana Deshpande, Director at Samsotech, we invited all our guests to join us at Samsotech Marketplace to check out our new products. At the Marketplace, our guests were able to ask our team questions and enjoy lunch with us!

This event would not have been successful without the hard work and efforts of our dear Samsoknights. The creative team behind this venture put in multiple days and nights, over several months, to think of every possible aspect and make it seamless.  Special shout out goes to Mr. Imtishal Ali, Asst.
