Samsotech is pleased to announce the signing of a software development agreement with NITK Surathkal, Karnataka, India. NITK will support Samsotech in coming up with innovative products that will compliment Samsotech’s portfolio of global solutions.

National Institute of Technology Karnataka (www.nitk.ac.in), Surathkal, located near Mangalore City, Karnataka State, India is a premier Technology institute established in the year 1960. During the last 62 years, NITK (formerly KREC), has made significant progress in every sector. Presently, NITK is ranked 10th in India in Engineering Category - NIRF 2022. The institute was also categorized as 'Band A' institution (rank between 11-25) in category of ‘Institute of National Importance, Central Universities & CFTIs’ in ARIIA rankings.

On behalf of Samsotech, the agreement was signed by Jayant Deshpande, President, Samsotech group of companies. Jayant is also an alumni of NITK, having completed B-Tech in Electronics & Communications in the year 1979.

From NITK, the software will be developed by undergraduate students under the guidance of Dr. Mohit P. Tahiliani, Assistant Professor (Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering) and Project managers from Samsotech.

IMPACT 1979, a group of 1979 NITK graduates was instrumental in getting all parties together. This group is also taking several other initiatives at NITK.
